"Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow." - Psalms 51: 7
Clean me out, Beloved Plumber of the Soul.
There is so much garbage stuck in my pipes.
I have tried to unclog them, poured baking soda down there,
Shoved a bent wire hanger in and out, up and down,
But its all jammed in there good
All those excreted dreams and tangled anxieties
Clinging to each other in a sticky, gooey, green and black mess.
I'm afraid to touch it, afraid the stench
And slime of my own failings will never wash off these hands.

Just get rid of it, God,
Flush that crap right out of me
Use a snake if you have to
Cause I'm all backed up in here
And I am afraid something may burst.

Flussssssh!

Ah, that's better. Thank you, Great Purging Spirit,
The water runs clear and sweet now
The drain gurgles happily, taking away
All my clumped up, gunky thoughts
To that great Sewer in the sky.
